Can A Female At 23 Get A Kidney Stone?

Bernie & Chet: A Dog's Crime - Spencer Quinn

Summary

Bernie Little and his partner, Chet are the best private detectives in the city. And this is mainly due to Chet, who would be at least once almost became a police dog. Admittedly, Chet has all the typical weaknesses of a dog: he has an indomitable drive to play and a very sketchy memory. But that, the smart four-legged friends is more than compensated with his hunting instinct, and his unerring nose. Above all, Chet has a great, brave heart, utterly lovable for his Bernie owner proposes - and the pretty wife Suzie Sanches people who would, in Chet's view, the perfect female for Bernie. But what a dog already understands the strange doings of the people?

My opinion

like the cover me pretty well. And somehow I had Chet always in the head as he was portrayed on the cover. As far as I know there are from the book series now four volumes in English. When will all come out in German, I do not.

What I liked best about the book, that's the story from the perspective of the dog is said Chet. This has the effect that it is very funny sometimes, but also exciting. However, this narrative is also a disadvantage. Chet from sleep and like to hunt on or behind something. That in turn means when people talk, we get as a reader with the not sleeping or otherwise occupied because Chet is. This gave me as a reader now and again the feeling of losing the connection. When Bernie went about any track or had a thought, I wondered from time to time as he came out.

is all in all, the book for me is just average. The voltage is missing, and the protagonists have been shown only superficial, the book assumes that the depth and my love of reading. For beginners and Crime Dog fool the book is easily readable. All Others prefer to let hands off.
